The Miranda Ratings Advisory team, which consists of Víctor M. Herrera, Damian Fraser, Martín Lara and Laura Guillén, has a combined experience of more than 30 years in corporate ratings.

Víctor M. Herrera​

Until last year, Víctor was the CEO for Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services’ Mexico City office, where he was responsable for overseeing all the national and international activities of the CDMX office related to rating a broad spectrum of debt issuers in numerous disciplines including: corporate, financial institutions, insurance companies, mutual funds and structured financing. He joined Standard & Poor’s in 1992 as corporate and financial institutions analyst.

Víctor M. Herrera

Damian Fraser

Damian founded Miranda Partners in 2018; he was Mexico Country Manager of UBS from 2001 to 2018, where he oversaw the 180-person local Investment Banking, Wealth Management and Equity businesses. Previously he ran UBS’s Latin American Equity division, worked as Head of UBS LatAm Equity Research, and was “Number One” ranked LatAm “Institutional Investor” equity analyst for Strategy for multiple years. Prior to banking, Damian was a journalist at The Economist (economics correspondent), and at the Financial Times (Mexico bureau chief). He holds a CFA, an MPA from Harvard University, and BA from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE).

Damian Fraser

Damian founded Miranda Partners in 2018; he was Mexico Country Manager of UBS from 2001 to 2018, where he oversaw the 180-person local Investment Banking, Wealth Management and Equity businesses. Martín Lara has 29 years’ experience as as a Director of Equity Research at various financial institutions such as Interacciones Casa de Bolsa, Signum Research / Punto Casa de Bolsa, Actinver, Valores Finamex Casa de Bolsa, and AB Moneda. He has been ranked by the “Institutional Investor” and “El Inversionista” magazines for several years. Martín has also covered the telecommunications, media, food, beverages, FIBRAs, conglomerates, industrial, retail, construction, housing and hotel sectors. He is a “Company Valuation / M&A” teacher at the Tecnológico de Monterrey, CSF. Previously he was a “Financial Markets” and “Equity Markets” professor at Universidad Iberoamericana. He holds an MBA from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, CEM.

Martín Lara

Laura Guillén

Laura Guillén studied Aeronautics Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, completing her studies with an International MBA at EAE Business School. She has worked for the aeronautical industry at Barcelona El Prat Airport and at London Luton Airport. Since her arrival in Mexico City, six years ago, she has acquired experience in the financial sector. She was a fixed income broker in MEI (Institutional) and ENLACE for four years, the first Mexican interdealer brokerage company. Currently, Laura is the Managing Partner of Miranda Fundraising and consultant for Miranda Investor Relations.

Laura Guillén

Partner
